Abstract
This report highlights past damage done to Taiwan’s fisheries reputation due to cases of Taiwanese distant water fishing vessels associated with IUU fishing activities and forced labour. The report compares the situation on the vessels against relevant Taiwanese regulations, International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, and the forced labour indicators of ILO.
